The 2 Year Old Classroom daily schedule includes:

• Gross motor and free choice play, group time with songs and stories, snack, and process oriented art explorations.

• This program will focus on the following goals:

• Provide a loving, caring environment that builds trust through connections and ongoing communication with the child and their family.

• Create an atmosphere where children’s learning, aligned with the Illinois State Learning Standards, happen through, dynamic, and unique play experiences.

• Facilitate children’s independence and self help skills.

• Tap into basic math, literacy, and science concepts that children will build on throughout their preschool experience.

• Involve children in daily art explorations with a variety of open-ended materials.

The 3 Year Old Classroom daily schedule includes:

The daily schedule includes several zones including the Creative Corner, Circle Time, Dramatic Play, Blocks, Computer, Library, Science, Math, Music and Movement, Language and the Sensory Table. Here are some of those zones explained:

 

• Dramatic Play – Opportunity to combine spoken language with imagination, help with problem solving, role play, and communication skills

• Language Arts – Ability to use language to express ideas, observations & feelings, enjoy reading & listening to stories

• Computers – Improves manual dexterity, boosts problem solving, teaches logical skills

• Blocks – Explores math concepts, learn to work together, be creative, experimentation

• Music & Movement – Gives the child a chance to move, develops the ability to focus & control the body, keeps rhythm and play instruments

• Science – Develops play & investigate, how the world works, respecting life and nature, developing logical skills, focus and curiosity

• Sensory – A hands-on exploration, use of senses for collecting data, gives an opportunity for every child to succeed!

• Math – Helps to child make sense of the world around him, teaches problem solving, works with numbers, shapes, measurements, patterning and analyzing graphs

The PreK/4+ Year Old Classroom daily schedule includes:

Curriculum is designed to prepare children for kindergarten, to develop their creativity through process over product, to spark their imagination and to promote their sense of wonder. Our curriculum is regularly updated based on feedback from local kindergarten teachers. Here are some of our day explained:
